I remember the good times of my daily interactions with my classmates. Up until high school, I’ve only been involved with people my own age, but this school allowed me to be involved with people of all ages. Students of the same age, housewives and others in different positions, but sometimes we supported each other as classmates and sometimes we received warm words of encouragement as seniors in life. I feel that I was able to broaden my point of view by being exposed to different ways of thinking from various perspectives. I will always remember the time I spent with my classmates, laughing, joking, and enjoying each other’s company without worrying about the age difference. I believe that being a childcare worker is a wonderful job that allows you to be involved in the growth of children who will carry the future. I know that there are some things that you will find difficult in order to obtain qualifications, such as practical training and piano lessons, but I hope that you will do your best with a smile based on your desire to become a nursery teacher! I hope you will do your best with a smile on your face.

The nursery school I work now has special curriculum time for dancing, karate, English and exercise. For 1 to 5-year-old classes, there are cooking lessons under the guidance plan of a dietitian. It’s a great experience for me to participate with the children and watch them earnestly work on their projects up close and watch them grow. In my student life, I learned a lot, such as creating something together with my classmates, supporting each other and facing difficulties together. Try to put that learning into practice in your childcare. If you put what you learned into your actual childcare job, I’m sure the children will respond to that in some way. Let’s make kids grow bigger together in childcare.

Lily Bunka Kindergarten

Currently, I’m the assistant head teacher in charge of the older children at Lily Bunka Kindergarten in Noboribetsu. I really think a kindergarten teacher is a wonderful job. There isn’t a single day that’s the same in 365 days. I receive energy and courage every day as the children grow. It’s not an easy job, but I enjoy it every day. When I was a student, I challenged myself in many things like playing the piano and physical education activities in order to pursue a career in childcare with my friends who had the same goal. Every day my friends and I would run to the station and ride the train. I was just desperate at the time but those days are also pleasant memories for me.
